Gerda Steyn smashes record on way to fifth straight Two Oceans Ultra title

CAPE TOWN - South Africa's Gerda Steyn picked up her fifth consecutive victory in the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon in Cape Town on Saturday.
Steyn bettered the women's record for the 56km event for a third time, shattering her previous record by two minutes for a finish time of 3:26:54.

South Africa's Irvette van Zyl finished second (3:29:30) and Zimbabwe's Loveness Madziva finished third (3:38:00).
In the men's race, Onalenna Khonkhobe crossed the finish line first in a time of 3:09:30.
The South African finished ahead of compatriot Lloyd Bosman (3:09:58) & 2023 winner, Givemore Mudzinganyama of Zimbabwe (3:11:13).
