Provincial electoral officer Michael Hendrickse explains what the ballots for Western Cape residents will look like.

"We have 29 parties on our provincial ballot, and we have 34 parties and 1 independent candidate on our regional ballot. The third ballot - which is the national ballot for everybody - there are 52 parties on that."

However, some parties are not contesting the provincial elections, but are on the regional ballot for the National Assembly.
