SACP, ANC, COSATU remember Chris Hani on 31st anniversary of his death
The former SACP general secretary was assassinated in broad daylight outside his Boksburg home 31 years ago.

BOKSBURG - The South African Communist Party (SACP), the African National Congress (ANC) and the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) gathered at the Thomas Titus Nkobi Memorial Park in Ekurhuleni on Wednesday, to honour the life of struggle icon, Chris Hani.
The former SACP general secretary was assassinated in broad daylight outside his Boksburg home 31 years ago.
Speaking at a wreath-laying and commemoration ceremony, ANC spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri said Hani would never be forgotten.
"It’s a day that holds a lot of memories and triggers some emotion in some of us who grew up inspired into the struggle and his actions. He was a humble soul."
The Tripartite alliance is honouring the life of former SACP general secretary, Chris Hani, who was murdered 31 years ago.
