CoCT electricity teams working around the clock restore power in storm-affected areas

CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town’s electricity teams are working around the clock to restore power in storm-affected areas.

The areas include Philippi West, Mfuleni, Hazendal, Lansdowne, Brackenfell, Athlone, Salt River, Crawford, and Grassy Park.

"Damaged infrastructure typically takes some time to repair and we are thankful that weather conditions have improved so that our teams can attend to remaining repairs safely,” said the Mayoral Committee Member (MMC) for Energy, Beverley van Reenen 

"Our teams are doing everything in their power to ensure that supply in the remaining areas is restored as quickly as possible."
