Over the past three days, disaster management teams have been responding to numerous calls of infrastructure damage, localised flooding, and fires across the province.
Lwandle resident, Bukiwe Vanda, said that most people were unemployed and could not afford to buy building materials.
"So we're asking for help, we have nothing left. We would appreciate it if government can help us with zinc sheets."
Nomzamo resident, Mzukisi Ntshayi, said that any help to rebuild their homes would be appreciated.
"The wind was too much over the weekend, and it destroyed formal and informal dwellings. Now we are left with nothing."
