WEATHER: Severe thunderstorms and cold expected in Gauteng

While strong winds and storms wreak havoc in the Western Cape, severe thunderstorms are expected to hit Gauteng this week.

The South African Weather Service has issued a level 2 yellow warning for disruptive rain and widespread thunderstorms for Monday (8 April).
Johannesburg and Tshwane emergency services are urging residents to remain on high alert as persistent rainfall is leaving roads slippery and low-lying areas flooded.
