DURBAN - Suspects arrested in connection with the murders of rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and his former manager, Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane are set to return to the Durban High Court on Monday.

A total of seven suspects have been arrested in this case, with two still awaiting extradition from Eswatini.

Forbes and Motsoane were gunned down on Durban's Florida Road last year.

The accused in this case are still trying to secure bail, with the State opposing their applications.

During their previous appearance, State prosecutor, Elvis Gcweka, told the court that the accused were a gang and not businessmen as they claimed to be.

Gcweka added that one of the accused, Mziwethemba Gwabeni, made a phone call to a Sydney Gcaba before an amount of R800,000 was paid into his account.

On Monday, the defence lawyers for accused two and four will be responding to the State's case.
