JOHANNESBURG - Hundreds of commuters in Zola and Rockville in the south of Johannesburg have been left stranded due to the unavailability of taxis on Monday morning.
Listeners told 702 that they arrived at the respective taxi ranks to find vehicles parked and not operating.
One listener also told 702 that some taxis had been impounded by the government.
"They suspended the licenses because even last week they were impounding the taxis... even today they're still doing that. There's a place in White City, where they were impounding cars."
