CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Premier Alan Winde says the Democratic Alliance (DA) will continue to make the province the best run in the country if it's re-elected as the majority party in the upcoming elections.
Winde, who is the party's provincial candidate, told a packed Huguenot Community Hall in Paarl on Saturday that supporters must work hard to ensure the DA remains the majority party in the Western Cape.

He told supporters the DA has made great strides in the province over the past five years, and pledged it would continue doing so if he was re-elected as premier.
The premier said the DA's provincial manifesto consists of seven pledges.
"We will keep focusing on jobs, on growing the economy. We will keep reducing crime, we will keep cutting load shedding, we will keep building schools, we will keep increasing healthcare and wellness, we will put people before politicians."
Winde ended his address by urging the DA team to ensure that the party's voters get to the polls.
During the Western Cape Manifesto launch in Paarl today my message to the people of the Western Cape is simple: on the 29th of May, go out and vote for the DA – to keep the Cape’s hope alive, and to keep the despair of Doomsday out of the Western Cape! pic.twitter.com/rVbi0BJph0
