Unemployed KZN doctors vow to extend three-day sit-in until demands are met
"It’s clear government doesn’t care," they say, as they protest lack of placements after completing community service.

Even after three days of their sit-in outside the Health Department head office in Pietermaritzburg, they've vowed not to go home until government employs them.

Botha says it's the same situation in all provinces, forcing numerous doctors to leave the country to find work elsewhere.

He adds that it feels like government isn't taking doctors and their situations seriously.
“It's very clear that they do not really care, and they aren't doing much for us.”
