Heart of the Hunter #1 on Netflix's top 10 list, actress Nicole Fortuin chats about this epic feat

The suspense movie has clocked the number one spot in English-language films on the Netflix top 10 - the first African film to do so just five days since its premier.

Tracey Lange speaks to Heart of the Hunter actress, Nicole Fortuin who plays Naledi in the now number one film on Netflix. 

29 March 2024 saw the premiere of Heart of the Hunter on Netflix. Within the first five days since its premiere, it achieved the incredible feat of clocking the number one spot in English-language films on the Netflix top 10, becoming the first African film to do so - what a win!

Nicole Fortuin plays Naledi in the film leaving audiences speechless with her talented performance. 

Fortuin says she is overwhelmed with the success of the film.

Without giving away any spoilers (for those who have not yet watched the film - haibo) Fortuin says you can expect "twists, turns, more turns" and "unexpected reveals" from her quiet character. 

Fortuin is 'proud' of the representation the film has on a global scale.

"There's so much to expect in terms of action, the comic moments, the locations - I've heard so much great feedback. There's just so much going on in the film in the best way possible and it has such high production value. I feel very proud of this South African film that's representing us in the best way."

Americas: United States, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Panama, the Bahamas, Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru.

Europe: France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Greece, Norway, Denmark, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Poland.

Africa: Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Reunion.

Asia & Middle East: Turkey, Lebanon, Cyprus, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Philippines, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea.
