DURBAN - Five of the seven accused of killing rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and businessman Tebello "Tibs" Motsoane have told the Durban Magistrates Court that the State is skating on thin ice as it does not have evidence against them.
AK and Tibs were shot and killed in February last year outside a Durban restaurant on Florida Road.
The first accused, Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi, has told the Durban Magistrates Court through Advocate Simphiwe Mlotshwa that the State is biased and has misleading evidence against him.
He has also disputed allegations by the State that he is not asthmatic
"I am an asthma sufferer and currently I’m receiving medication including an asthma pump at the Westville Medical Prison Section. I challenge the investigating officer to go to the Westville Health Medical Prison Section and uplift my file."

He disputed being a spotter.
"I had arranged to meet with a lady at Wish restaurant however, realising that the time was ticking while at Wish restaurant that the lady was not coming, I kept calling her and she kept on promising that she will definitely come."
The case was postponed to 8 April for the accused two and four to respond to the State.
