JOHANNESBURG - The Department of Health says the process of identifying and repatriating bodies from the deadly Limpopo bus crash is set to begin soon.
Minister Joe Phaahla visited Limpopo on Tuesday morning, following the deaths of 45 people last week after the bus they were travelling in crashed and caught fire.
The group was en route to Moria from Gaborone.
The incident prompted both the South African and Botswana governments to establish a multi-disciplinary team to probe the cause of the crash.
Phaahla joined Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba to pay the sole survivor, an eight-year-old girl, who is receiving medical attention and psychological support a visit.
On the matter of identifying and repatriating bodies, Phaahla could not provide a timeline for the completion of the process.
He only highlighted that it is likely to take some time.
