JOHANNESBURG - Health Minister Joe Phaahla is expected to descend on the Limpopo following the tragic bus accident that left 45 people dead.

Phaahla's visit aims to monitor progress made by health officials in the province, after Thursday's crash.

It is understood 46 people were onboard the bus travelling from Botswana to Moria for Easter celebrations, when the bus crashed into a barrier and caught fire.

Phaahla will be joined by the province's Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba, where they will speak to the sole survivor of the ordeal, an eight year girl and visit the scene of the crash.
