Gift of the Givers teams are assisting those affected by the blaze.
"It's a bleak Easter weekend for the affected families as they could save no belongings, especially with schools opening up next week," said the humanitarian organisation's spokesperson Ali Sablay.
Sablay says Gift of the Givers teams would be on site on Sunday for humanitarian assistance.
"Credit is due to the City of Cape Town Fire Department for bringing the fire under control. They are currently busy with mop-up operations to prevent any flare ups."
