JOHANNESBURG - Survivors of a deadly building fire in Johannesburg said a commission of inquiry into the blaze has not provided any immediate solutions to occupants who were not relocated.
A meeting was held on Saturday outside the Usindiso building with the General Industries Workers Union of South Africa (GIWUSA).
In August, the building caught alight, killing 77 people and leaving hundreds homeless.
Premier Panyaza Lesufi set up the inquiry to probe the cause of the fire.
While some occupants were relocated to temporary accommodation in Denver, a resident said many were still homeless.
"We have not been relocated to Denver. Some are living emaxhoseni. Look at the condition of that place. We need a proper place to stay."
