DURBAN - The murder trial of a Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) lecturer is set to begin at the Durban High Court on Wednesday.
MUT electrical engineering lecturer Chanlall Dwarika was found murdered in Inanda, north of Durban, in May 2023.
He had been missing for a few days.
Four men - Siyabonga Mahaye, Thobani Mhlongo, Kwanele Makhaye and Sihle Mkhize are charged with the kidnapping and murder of Dwarika.
The men allegedly took Dwarika's vehicle, drove off with him and forced him to give them his bank card pin code before withdrawing cash from his account.
