During a media briefing on Friday, the utility assured residents that the system would return to normal this weekend.
Joburg water said at the time both reservoirs have drastically improved, and are currently sitting at over 50 percent capacity.
"There are still parts of Blairgowrie that are still having challenges because of air pockets. The system should fully stabilize this weekend," said Joburg Water's Logan Munsamy.
Munsamy urged residents to use water sparingly as the city experiences high water consumption.
