JOHANNEBURG - The Azanian Peoples Organization has laid a complaint with the IEC over the vandalism of its elections billboard.
It is not yet clear who is responsible for damaging the billboard in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
The party says it suspects the vandalism is part of the intolerance being demonstrated by political parties.
Azapo spokesperson Jabu Rakwena says they have also opened a case of malicious damage to property with the police.
"We indeed are surprised that there is intolerance of black parties and yet not the same amount of intolerance is demonstrated towards white political parties. The IEC has not responded to our filing of the complaint yet."
