JOHANNESBURG - Judgment in the case of alleged sex worker serial killer Sifiso Mkhwanazi is expected to be handed down on Wednesday at the Johannesburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge.
The 21-year-old is facing a litany of charges including rape and murder where he has pleaded guilty to the latter.
The gruesome murder spree that spanned over six months saw six sex workers losing their lives, allegedly at Mkhwanazi's hands.
Found bound, gagged and strangled to death - the victims' bodies were planted meticulously at different locations within his father's panel-beating business in the Joburg CBD.
The State - which is spearheading the case against Mkhwanazi - has since argued that he lured the victims under the pretence of false payment and then sexually assaulted them.
However, the accused's legal counsel refuted the claims as the reason for the murders before the court.
High court judge Cassem Caleeb - who has exhibited a firm approach towards the matter - will hand down his judgement on Wednesday.
