DURBAN - Members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are protesting in Durban’s city centre over the lack of service delivery on Tuesday.
Protestors burnt rubble on the streets on their way to submit a letter of grievances to Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda.
Police have since arrested several protesters in the Durban inner city.
Last week, the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality served 79 employees with notices of misconduct for taking part in what officials described as “unlawful conduct”.
The metro's workers affiliated with the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) downed tools over pay.
