JOHANNESBURG - Better coal management, improved internal policy and procedures, elevated rate of procurement and funding are among some of the key points in a 10-point plan by Eskom.
It seeks to turn South Africa's power crisis around.
Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa revealed this at a media briefing in Tshwane on Monday.
This comesĀ amid rolling blackouts that continue to cripple the country's economy.
Acknowledging the fiscal relief provided to the utility by National Treasury of R78 billion, Ramokgopa said the money will allow Eskom to fast track its turnaround plan.
He added that the detailed plan will work hand in glove with a five-step action plan.
Ramokgopa believes with the appointment of a new Eskom CEO Dan Marokane, executing the strategy will be seamless.
