EC Transport Dept concerned about reckless road behaviour

EAST LONDON - The Eastern Cape Department of Transport says it is concerned about the reckless behaviour of motorists on its roads.
This after six people died on the R61 near Cofimvaba on Thursday following a three-vehicle collision.
Five people died on the scene while another passed away on arrival in hospital.

At least 13 people have died on the province's roads in the past two weeks.
"A head-on collision always talks to a case of reckless and negligent driving," the provincial transport spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, said.
"We believe that head-on collisions are among those crashes that can be avoided only if road users can abide by the rules of the road at all times."
