SAFA President Danny Jordaan accused of misusing resources

JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks have seized documents, a laptop and hard drives at the South African Football Association (SAFA) headquarters in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.
Officials said a raid was conducted on Friday in connection with fraud and theft allegations of over a million rand.
SAFA President Danny Jordaan is accused of misusing the organisation's resources for personal use.
Hawks Spokesperson Katlego Mogale said ,"The allegations are between 2014 and 2018, the president of SAFA used the organisation's resources for his personal gain including hiring a private security company for his personal protection and a public relations company without authorisation from the SAFA board. The president is also reported to have violated SAFA statutes thus prejudicing it of an actual loss of R1.3 million."
