Emotional ‘Deal or No Deal South Africa’ contestant Siya brought the whole country together when he won the R250 000 jackpot. 

He stuck with his box until the very end, turning down offer after offer  – including a massive R135 000 deal.

In the end, Siya’s intuition was right, and his box, number 19, contained the jackpot of R250 000.

True to his word, he now chases his dream to be an actor.

“I always wanted to be a stage actor. When I act on stage, I feel like all my dreams have come true… What acting had brought to my life is a sense of completeness.”

Siya used some of his prize money for his sister's school needs, and to buy a house.

“I would not have achieved most things if I did not win that money. It has done a lot for me.”
