'Putting faces to AKA’s killers is a part of my closure': Tony Forbes
The case has been postponed to next week after the group of five, who face charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder, among others, made a brief appearance in court.

JOHANNESBURG - The case against five men accused of killing rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane has been postponed to next week for a bail application.
The group made a short appearance in the Durban Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.

They are facing charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder, among others.
AKA and Tibz were shot and killed outside a Durban restaurant in 2023.
Ahead of their court appearance, AKA's father, Tony Forbes, said he welcomed the State's intention to oppose bail.
“Over time, I built up these images in my head in terms of the bad guys, and part of my closure is really to start putting faces to these people.”
