JOHANNESBURG - Political party Freedom Front Plus has accused the African National Congress (ANC) of creating another "apartheid" through corruption and its economic policies.

The party delivered its election manifesto at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria on Saturday.

It made several promises including doing away with some of the ANC's initiatives aimed at turning around the country's unequal wealth distribution, such as the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and Affirmative Action.

Freedom Front  Plus leader, Pieter Groenewald said the ANC has driven South Africa to the edge of ruin and bankruptcy, adding that it was time citizens actively took action to remove the party from power.

''The ANC created a new apartheid in South Africa - an apartheid of those politically connected, and we the ordinary citizens and taxpayers of South Africa. That’s a crime against humanity if you talk about apartheid now, this is also a new apartheid.''

Groenewald also promised to introduce a free market economy to oppose the National Health Insurance (NHI) bill and to decentralise government.

As part of the Moonshot Pact, the party believes the coalition taking office at provincial level would stop South Africa's decay.
