KZN top cop lauds handling of investigation into AKA, Tibz murders

DURBAN - Police top brass have lauded the outcomes of an investigation into the murder of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane after five out of seven nabbed suspects appeared in court.
The men appeared for the first time before the Durban Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning.
The group faces charges including murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession of firearms, and conspiracy to commit murder.

KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi was also in court.
He reiterated the police’s stance on remaining mum on the high-profile case while investigations were underway, citing that speaking out may have significantly dented their efforts
“But because we were able to keep it under wraps until we had the picture completed and brought it here."
The matter returns to court next week for bail.
