DURBAN - The father of slain rapper AKA, Tony Forbes has commended the police for their investigation into his son and Tebello Motsoane's murders.

AKA's father arrived in court flanked by security guards including one of his late son’s protector's.

During the adjustment of court proceedings, he spoke to journalists about the case.

Forbes said authorities must be allowed to do their job.

“I can say and I’ve been consistent in terms of saying that we have to give the police the space to do their work and their prosecution.”

He also said while some things could have been done better, he is happy that finally there was a breakthrough in the case.

“I am satisfied that they have done the best that they could. Some things could have been done better, but I am pleased with it.”

Police said more arrests are imminent in the case.
