BMW has launched their new 5 series featuring their electric model, the i5.

“The 5 series is a very important car for BMW.”
– Ernest Page, Motoring Journalist

The new 5 series is longer, wider, and taller than its predecessor and has a lengthened wheelbase.

The new version has a sleek and modern design with distinctive character lines and a BMW kidney grill on the front.

The BMW 5 series is a high-end luxury vehicle, with a starting price of R1.2 million for their entry level vehicle.

Page says that the 520 D of this range was his favourite to drive and is a great car for South Africa as we do not have the same diesel issues as other parts of the world.

This car also has some incredible new features including automated driving feature linked to the indicator, where it can change lanes for you.

“It is very gimmicky, I could barely get it to work… it does work occasionally, maybe I just wasn’t doing it properly.”
– Ernest Page, Motoring Journalist
