JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa extended the term of office for South African Revenue Service (SARS) Commissioner Edward Kieswetter for two more years.
Kieswetter was appointed by the president in March 2019, initially for a five-year term, which began on 1 May that year.
The Presidency said the extension followed an agreement between Ramaphosa and Kieswetter to prolong the tenure of the commissioner to enable an orderly leadership transition in the organisation.
