'We are really prepared': Gauteng police on upcoming elections

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police say plans have been put in place to provide high-level safety and security measures during the upcoming national and provincial elections.
On Tuesday, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the elections would be held on 29 May.
During Operation Shanela in Sandton on Thursday, acting Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni confirmed the police's readiness for the polls.
"In terms of the plan we have to make sure people who are going to vote are and feel safe, we are really prepared, in terms of the whole integrated government."
