Mosquito ‘tornado’ above Indian city terrifies residents

Gilchrist reports that large swarms of mosquitoes have flooded the Indian city of Pune.
So much so that residents have been unable to leave their homes.
Residents have compared the sight to a tornado.

Local media reports that the increase in mosquitoes is due to the rise in water levels at the Mila Mutha River.
It provides the damp conditions needed for insects to thrive.
