Bafana receive heroes' welcome at OR Tambo International Airport

JOHANNESBURG - The Bafana Bafana squad received a heroes’ welcome after their most successful showcase at the Africa Cup of Nations in 24 years.
The bronze medallists arrived on Wednesday morning at OR Tambo International Airport to adoring fans who celebrated them in song and loud cheers.
The familiar sound of vuvuzela's greeted captain Ronwen Williams and his Bafana Bafana teammates when they landed back in the country.
Supporters were in full voice, singing and dancing from 4am when the team was initially set to arrive.
Some had slept at the airport overnight, in a bid to catch all the festivities.
Hundreds of spirited fans waited in anticipation to catch a glimpse of the Bafana squad - which restored the country's faith in the men's national team.
