Vyeboom fire 'still out of control', cautions Overberg Fire & Rescue Services

CAPE TOWN - A fire in the Vyeboom area between Villiersdorp and Grabouw is currently raging out of control.
Overberg Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Reinhard Geldenhuys said the fire – which was earlier burning for two days, under control, flared up on Monday afternoon due to hot weather conditions.
"The Grabouw fire at Vyeboom - that fire is still out of control, burning towards Cape Nature area and we've got ground teams and aerial resources deployed on that fire."
Meanwhile, Geldenhuys said about 28 firefighters are ready to form a line to prevent a fire in Caledon from spreading to the town.
He said the blaze is still raging in the Klein Swartberg mountain in inaccessible terrain.
