JOHANNESBURG - ActionSA has announced its three premier candidates for Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, and the Free State provinces.
They are former Nelson Mandela Bay mayor - Athol Trollip, former Ehlanzeni District Municipality manager - Thoko Mashiane, and the Democratic Alliance’s former shadow minister of health – Patricia Kopane.
The candidates were announced in Johannesburg on Tuesday by the party’s president, Herman Mashaba.
Mashaba said the three candidates represent provinces that have been run to the ground by the governing African National Congress.
“Three provinces which form the backbone of South Africa’s economy and national identity but have failed to reach their potential due to corruption and mismanagement of our current government. The candidates we are announcing today [Tuesday] embody the value of ethical leadership.”
