JOHANNESBURG - The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) will increase toll tariffs by 6.25% as of the 1st of March.
SANRAL said this was in line with its annual tariff increase, in line with the consumer price index as obtained from Statistics South Africa.
"As much as we sympathise with motorists, especially given the state of the economy, it is nonetheless an adjustment that we must effect so that we ourselves do not compromise the quality of roads that our motorists are used to," said SANRAL general manager for communications and marketing, Vusi Mona.
