CAPE TOWN - Three people, including a child, have died in a fire in Fisantekraal near Durbanville.
 
The blaze broke out in the early hours of Monday morning.
 
Crews from Durbanville, Kraaifontein and Atlantis were dispatched to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire by 2.30am.
 
Six informal structures were destroyed in the blaze.
 
The city's Fire and Rescue Service's Jermaine Carelse: "Sadly, the bodies of a man, woman and a minor (gender unknown), who sustained fatal burn wounds, were discovered under the debris. Furthermore, an adult male sustained 30% burn wounds and was treated and transported to a nearby medical facility. The cause of the fire is still unknown pending an investigation from the South African Police Service."
