Bafana Bafana returns on Wednesday (14 February) as the bronze medal winner of Afcon.
Coached by Hugo Broos, it was South Africa's best campaign in 24 years.
Post Afcon, it will be important for the South African Football Association (Safa) to keep Broos on, says Mbele.
“Even if we don’t keep him as Head Coach… We have to look forward, we have to do things differently this time around.”
- Sizwe Mbebe, football analyst
“I am sitting here scared about when Hugo Broos sits with SAFA because they have completely surprised over and over again by firing people who are doing well.”
- Sizwe Mbebe, football analyst
Mbebe says that Broos has bought South Africa time to build.
“We are a football national that’s got talent. It’s a delight for a coach to find something in that talent to get us this far, to show Africa one more time that South Africa is to be counted.”
- Sizwe Mbebe, football analyst
