DURBAN - Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says his party is the only one in the country that holds its members to account when they do not provide quality leadership.
Malema was addressing a crowd of red berets at the party's manifesto launch at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

He said there were expectations that the launch would fail following the expulsion of some councillors in the province from the party.
In 2023, the party expelled 62 senior members for failing to provide buses for members to travel to the FNB Stadium for its 10th anniversary bash.
Malema said this was an example of how there was no room for lazy senior officials in the party.
"We expelled them because they are lazy, and all those that are sitting on the stage, they will be expelled if they are lazy, if they are corrupt, if they tell lies, [and] if they provide mediocre leadership."
