AKA murder case one year on: Police cagey about the details

JOHANNESBURG - As the fans and family of the Composure hitmaker Kiernan AKA Forbes are still reeling from his murder a year on, police say they've kept details of this case limited because the investigation is at a sensitive stage.
AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were shot dead on Florida Road in Durban exactly a year ago.
Police say significant progress has been made on the case, with people linked to the crime already identified.

In September last year, it was confirmed that the murder weapon and getaway car used to escape the scene had been recovered.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says the police service will communicate better when it comes to this matter.
"We are aware of limited communication with the affected families. We have taken the decision to limit all communication related to this matter. The limited communication was not at all intended to undermine any of the affected families. We will however, endeavour to improve on this in the near future."
