No injuries or damage reported following Joburg earthquake

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng emergency services said no incidents of destruction or injuries were reported after a 3.4 magnitude earthquake rattled parts of the province.
In what’s becoming a common occurrence, another seismic event was felt in several areas in Johannesburg on Friday night.
It's understood the epicentre of the quake was Soweto, while aftershocks could be felt in areas including Roodepoort.
Council for Geosciences spokesperson Mahlatse Mononela: “The preliminary results show that the earthquake occurred last night at around 8H54. The earthquake registered and at this point, there has been no reported damage.”
According to the Council for Geoscience's website, a magnitude 3.3 tremor was recorded last week.
The epicentre of that tremor was also in Soweto.
