King Misuzulu kaZwelithini believes Ingonyama Trust should be maganed by chiefs

JOHANNESBURG - Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini wants chiefs to play a more pivotal role in managing the Ingonyama Trust which is responsible for 2.8 million hectares of land in KwaZulu-Natal.
Traditional prime minister to the Zulu nation Thulasizwe Buthelezi revealed this during a media briefing on Monday.
Buthelezi said the royal household believes the trust should not be managed by a government minister sitting in Cape Town, citing that amakhosi have their governance structures.
“As the sole trustee of Ingonyama Trust, his majesty holds the land in trust on behalf of the Zulu nation and his majesty will do everything in his power to protect, preserve and develop the land.”
