Ronwen Williams is being a hailed hero of the Bafana Bafana quarter-final game for saving four shots in a penalty shoot-out, giving Bafana Bafana record-making status.
Consequently, South Africa will be heading to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 24 years after their win against Cape Verde on Saturday.
Abrahams comments on Williams' performance calling it, "a record, at this level" while other industry alums dub the player "Africa's best goalkeeper."
Williams' performance is set to propel Bafana Bafana's performance forward into excellence at what's predicted to be "the game of the tournament" against Nigeria in the semi-finals on Wednesday, 7 February 2024.
