Mpumalanga residents fed up of the nepotism and corruption in the province
Frustrations around employment opportunities have resulted in some here boldly stating that they will turn their backs on the ANC.

MPHUMALANGA - Mpumalanga's unemployment rate and corruption remain pressing issues for registered voters in Pienaar ka Daantjie.
This as registration activities continue across the province on the final leg of the IEC's weekend voter drive. According to the Quarterly Labour Force Survey published in November 2023, Mpumalanga's official unemployment rate was sitting at 35.5%.
Residents told Eyewitness News they were fed up with the nepotism and corruption in recruitment processes in the province.
Frustrations around employment opportunities have resulted in some boldly stating that they would turn their backs on the ANC.
They have also decried the state of recruitment processes.
One of the residents said that their children had been invited to a recruitment drive only to be disregarded due to nepotism and corruption.
Some of the elders on Sunday expressed nostalgia for life during the apartheid era - they also claimed that the oppressive government never expected them to have experience before giving them jobs.
The ANC government has been attempting to address the many barriers to employment, calling for experience to be removed as a criteria even in the private sector.
