JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) says its case against former Eskom CEO André De Ruyter continues, despite him not acknowledging the legal papers it has sent to the engineer.

The party's secretary-general Fikile Mbalula addressed the media on Thursday at its headquarters in the Johannesburg CBD, where he made a claim that De Ruyter left the country with a huge load shedding problem.

Mbalula said De Ruyter moved from country to country, failing to acknowledge the legal documents the party attempted to deliver to him on numerous occasions.

"De Ruyter's case is still continuing. We gave him the papers in Germany and he shifted... he is now in the US. He is living an international nomadic life. So when we catch him here, he moves to another direction, but as soon as he touches in South Africa, we will deal with him."
