Fires between Pearly Beach and Buffeljags Bay remain 'out of control'

Since Tuesday, Hangklip, a seaside town in the Western Cape, has been shrouded in smoke.
Teams have and continue to work tirelessly to safeguard buildings and evacuate residents facing potential danger.
The fire has resulted in certain structural damages, including residences in Pringle Bay.
Geldenhuys confirms that the fires between Pearly Beach and Buffeljags Bay remain 'out of control'.
As a result, the R43 between Pearly Beach and Buffeljags Bay has been closed due to smoke and fire trucks in the road.
Additional teams will be dispatched to those regions, and efforts to contain and extinguish the fires that persists.
