JOHANNESBURG - Rise Mzansi’s national leader, Songezo Zibi, said South Africa is at another crossroads, warning that if the country fails to change course now, it will become yet another failed African state.
Zibi tabled the party’s manifesto ahead of the fast-approaching seventh democratic elections in Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.
He said the country is sitting with fresh wounds and scars caused by those who claimed to have liberated it from the apartheid government.
Rise Mzansi’s offering is centred around providing citizens with a happy and dignified life.
Zibi also counted the various ways that life regressed for citizens in recent years.
“Unemployment is higher now than it was 20 years ago. Violent crime is worse now than it was 20 years ago.
“Corruption is not just worse, it’s the very reason our so-called leaders are even in politics today. They even kill one another for a chance to steal from us and destroy our lives.”
