NPA vindicated by court denying alleged insurance killer Segomotsi Setshwantsho bail
The National Prosecuting Authority said that its team is hard at work to build a watertight case against Setshwantsho.

JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said that its team is hard at work to build a watertight case against alleged insurance killer, Segomotsi Setshwantsho.
Prosecutors welcomed a court ruling on Friday denying the 49-year-old grandmother bail.

She’s accused of giving her niece a poisoned sandwich which resulted in her death and scored her a R3 million life insurance payout.
She is also being investigated for the deaths of her son, husband, and two daughters.
The NPA said it feels vindicated by the court’s ruling.
Spokesperson Henry Mamothame said their investigations into the matter before court are at an advanced stage.
"We are also hoping that on other investigations by the South African Police Service they will be able to complete them and bring them to us to consider if there are any additional charges that we may put against the accused," said Mamothame.
