'You deliver success': Maynier praises Khayelitsha school's matric results
the Centre of Science and Technology in Khayelitsha's class of 2023 achieved a 99% pass rate, which is a 7% jump from last year.

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Education MEC David Maynier said he was proud of the accomplishments achieved by matriculants at the Centre of Science and Technology in Khayelitsha.
The school's class of 2023 achieved a 99% pass rate, which is a 7% jump from last year.
It also achieved a 99% pass rate in Mathematics and 91.3% in Physical Science.
The school specialises in Mathematics and Physical Science.
The Centre of Science and Technology has produced a whopping 107 distinctions this year, including 10 in Mathematics and 4 in Physical Science.
Three candidates received a pass mark of over 90% for Mathematics.
MEC Maynier said the school was up to the task and beat all odds.
"You are showing not just the Western Cape but South Africa that no matter what challenges you face, you give no excuses, you deliver success."
Maynier congratulated the school's principal and staff on the incredible set of results.
